Brad Griffith

Brad Griffith joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2013 as principal.  Prior to his current position, he served as an associate principal in 2012.  Brad came to the Ladue School District from Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as Assistant Dean of Students since 2006. He has served as Head Teacher at Georgetown Preparatory Day School and as Head Teacher at Metro Academic and Classical High School in St. Louis. Griffith received his master’s in education from Johns Hopkins University, his master’s in political science from American University, and his bachelor’s in history and education from the University of Iowa. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University.

Elizabeth Grana

Liz Grana joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2013 as an assistant principal. Prior to her position as assistant principal, Liz taught physical education and health at LHWHS. She attended Jacksonville University in Florida and played basketball. She completed her bachelor’s degree in physical education and health and her master’s degree in educational administration from Missouri Baptist University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.

Jessica Bitting

Jessica Bitting joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2018 as an assistant principal.  Prior to her current position, Jessica was the Dean of Students and Instruction at Brittany Woods Middle School.  She served as the English Language Arts Curriculum Content Leader in the Ferguson-Florissant School District for three years and taught English for six years.  Jessica earned her bachelor’s degrees in English and Education from Bucknell University and her master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Jessica is currently completing her PhD in Educational Leadership at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Dr. Beth Rapoff

Beth Rapoff joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2014 as an assistant principal. Prior to coming to LHWHS, Beth was an English teacher and an assistant principal in Illinois. She attended the University of Evansville and played soccer. She completed her bachelor’s degree in English and her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  She earned her doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.

Mike Tarpey

Mike Tarpey joined Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 1999 as a business and marketing teacher. For the last eight years he has been an administrator. He attended Eastern Illinois and received his bachelor’s degree in finance and completed his master’s degree in Administration from Lindenwood University. Mike is is currently pursuing his specialist degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.

Mike has been the head football coach at Ladue Horton Watkins High School for the last eight years.

Nick Gianino

Nick Gianino is joining the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team as the Director of Activities during the 2017-2018 school year.  Prior to being hired by the Ladue School District, Nick was the Athletic Director at Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri from 2010-2017.  He also served the Fox School District as social science teacher, physical education teacher, assistant football coach, strength/conditioning coach, and head football coach from 2003-2010.  Nick attended McKendree University as a student-athlete and completed his bachelor’s degree in social science with secondary education certification.  He also earned a master’s degree in Education from Southwest Baptist University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist University.  Nick just shared his twelfth wedding anniversary with Jessica Gianino.  They are the proud parents of their seven year old son, Dante and five year old daughter, Sienna.

Greg Baber

Greg Baber returns to Ladue Horton Watkins High School in the role of Activities Coordinator.  Prior to his current position, he served as a building-level administrator at Ladue Middle School for six years and Ladue Horton Watkins High School for four years.  Before coming to the Ladue School District, Greg had previous administrative experience in Mexico, Missouri and Webster Groves, Missouri, in addition to teaching experience in Wentzville, Missouri and Gypsum, Colorado.  Baber received his bachelor’s in education from the University of Missouri – Columbia, his master’s in Education Administration from Lindenwood University, and his specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University.

Shantay Wakefield

Shantay joined the Ladue School District as an Area Coordinator with Special School District in August of 2016. Prior to her current position in Ladue, Shantay began her career working with adults with special needs at the Illinois Center for Autism as a Job Coach Specialist and then moving on to the Judevine Center for Autism as a Supported Employment Coordinator. Shantay served as a classroom teacher in Saint Louis Public Schools at Beaumont High School and then moved on to teach at Collinsville High School and went on later to teach as a Special Education resource teacher for Special School District in the Hazelwood School District. Shantay began supporting adult learners as a District- Wide Facilitator for 1 year in Riverview Gardens and then moving on to began her career as an Area Coordinator for 4 years in Riverview Gardens. Ms. Wakefield received a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University, her master’s in Special Education and a Special Reading certification from Fontbonne University, and her Specialist Degree in Education Administration from Webster University.
