Administration Bios & Responsibilities

Brad Griffith

Brad Griffith joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2013 as principal.  Prior to his current position, he served as an associate principal in 2012.  Brad came to the Ladue School District from Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as Assistant Dean of Students since 2006. He has served as Head Teacher at Georgetown Preparatory Day School and as Head Teacher at Metro Academic and Classical High School in St. Louis. Griffith received his master’s in education from Johns Hopkins University, his master’s in political science from American University, and his bachelor’s in history and education from the University of Iowa. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University.

Dr. Andy Ross

Andy Ross joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2021 as an assistant principal. Prior to coming to LHWHS, Andy served as an assistant principal at Mehlville High School for eight years. He also taught American Government and Leadership at Mehlville for three years and U.S. History for three years in his home state of Ohio. Andy earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (History and Political Science) and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. He completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.

Annette Hayes

Annette Hayes joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2019 as an assistant principal. Prior to coming to LHWHS, Annette was an Academic Instructional Coach in St. Louis Public Schools at Sumner High for three years and taught English for four years. Annette earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her masters degrees in special reading and educational leadership from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Mike Tarpey

Mike Tarpey joined Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 1999 as a business and marketing teacher. Since 2007 he has been an administrator. He attended Eastern Illinois and received his bachelor’s degree in finance and completed his master’s degree in Administration from Lindenwood University. Mike is currently pursuing his specialist degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.

Mike has been the head football coach at Ladue Horton Watkins High School since 2007.

Dr. Beth Rapoff

Beth Rapoff joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team in 2014 as an assistant principal and now serves as the associate principal. Prior to coming to LHWHS, Beth was an English teacher and an assistant principal in Illinois. She attended the University of Evansville and played soccer. She completed her bachelor’s degree in English and her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  She earned her doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.

Nick Gianino

Nick Gianino joined the Ladue Horton Watkins High School team as the Director of Activities during the 2017-2018 school year.  Prior to being hired by the Ladue School District, Nick was the Athletic Director at Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri from 2010-2017.  He also served the Fox School District as social science teacher, physical education teacher, assistant football coach, strength/conditioning coach, and head football coach from 2003-2010.  Nick attended McKendree University as a student-athlete and completed his bachelor’s degree in social science with secondary education certification.  He also earned a master’s degree in Education from Southwest Baptist University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist University.  Nick and his wife, Jessica Gianino, are proud parents of their son, Dante and daughter, Sienna.

Jim Sievers

Jim joined the Ladue School District as an Area Coordinator with Special School District in July 2021. Prior to his current position in Ladue, Jim worked as a special education teacher and assistant principal in the Hazelwood School District.

Jim received a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Mississippi, his master’s in Social Studies Education from Webster University, and his Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Webster University.
