National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921. Once membership is achieved, the organization acts as a service organization. Members volunteer in the Ladue School Community and within the greater St. Louis community. It is the belief of the advisors that service is a habit that is best started when young.

LADUE NHS REQUIREMENTS

The 2024-25 application will close at midnight on March 1. Eligible sophomores and juniors have been invited to apply via email.

The LHWHS NHS Chapter GPA requirement is a 3.8. Students must acquire 8 service hours each semester from volunteer opportunities offered to the entire NHS chapter, so no personal or outside volunteer hours will count toward hour requirement. If a student does not meet their required service hours each semester, they will be put on probation for the next semester. Students must make up any hours by the end of their probationary semester or they will be dismissed from the chapter.
